Shooting with the Huawei P20 Pro at Le Mans 24 hour

Delighted to be commissioned by Huawei to photograph the Le Mans 24 hour race 2018 solely with a phone with an inbuilt Leica camera. I assisted 15 media guests on how to photograph Motorsport with the Huawei P20 Pro outlining the dangers of Motorsport and the general requirements of a photographer. ALL photographs shot AS IS in the phone APART from the Black and White photos which I edited in Lightroom Silver Efex Pro. Impossible to get me away from black and white after all. To hand me a phone to photograph the most enigmatic motor race was one challenge I was eager to take on. Endurance for everyone concerned and this phone certainly let me look in a completely different way. One aspect I was keen to adhere to was my passion for my Leica Noctilux lens – that I never really go above F2… usually I hover around F1.2  – f1.4 ….. so this is what I did, I stuck to f1.4 in Aperture mode and this was my own individual endurance to comply to my own signature, my own photographic language. Would the Huawei let me do so? You tell me! Tweet me at @photofeature to tell me what you think.
