Vintage Velocity: A Year On

It has been a year since the Vintage Velocity podcasts by the Vintage Sports Car Club were nominated for the Historic Motoring Awards. To mark the anniversary I wanted to share again the portraits I made for the front covers of the videos.

I love photographing people who are so wonderfully eccentric and who carry such enthusiasm for engineering, heritage and adventure. Every sitter brings a different energy to the frame. Spending time with them is a reminder of why portraiture remains the most rewarding part of my work.

They also inspire me to look at myself. They make me wonder how I might become a little more adventurous, and they remind me that engineering and craftsmanship run through my own bones too. That respect for how things are made and the people who make them is at the heart of everything I photograph.
