Using the Leica Q2 Monochrom Camera

Returning from Goodwood Revival this year was rather exhausting – but that’s another story. The event itself might probably be one of my best yet. I loved meeting the new driving team I am with, and got myself some lovely portraits on a new personal project too entitled: Up Close and Personal.

I began this least year and continued this year with more direction and determination. Using the Leica  Q2 Monochrom, I have finally understood how to set it up – which allowed me to shoot with one finger. Something totally new for me. I am usually manual manual manual on all accounts. This year however, I opted for get in, shoot and get out. I then played a little with Silver Efex Pro and opted for a simply Fuji 400  – coffee tone and a border. I am never really one for sitting on the computer editing. I prefer to shoot in camera and leave the editing for slight edits only. Anyway, I shot a good few descents and the project has begun with aplomb.  I think this was my 28th Goodwood Revival? anyone know how many times they have seen me?

When I got home to see that my photographic archives on my website need a good old going over and have started to put up the top what is important to me  – and to show what I would like to shoot in the future. It’s a complicated process and I think the winter nights will help.  Meanwhile, I am always on the hunt for Photography work so this is a great way to get my library in ship shape order so people can see what I actually do, and love to do.
